Simple Invoices - Forum

Most of my invoices have details on them - work undertaken, hardware descriptions etc. It is bearable to click the show details button when creating an invoice but it drives me crazy when I have to go back in to edit an invoice I have to click the button to access the details first.

I propose that one of the following could be done:
* Add a preference to control the default state of the details so they can always be on (like the old consulting style invoice)
* Detect details when editing an invoice and if details are present display them by default

Other than this I really like the new UI, it has come a long way since I started with SI.

a second this, i know crap about JavaScript and ajax but im looking into how to set this manually, shouldn't be too hard ill update if i figure it out

well, i made it so that the notes stay open all the time, dont like the method much, here are the edits:

in templates/default/invoices/itemised.tpl change 2 instances of class="note" to class="note-edit" at or around lines 207 and 211
in templates/default/invoices/details.tpl change 1 instance of class="note" to class="note-edit" at or around line 246

what this is doing is preventing the javascript from hiding/showing the fields while still using the same css values

include/jquery/jquery.conf.js.tpl: line 131
change ->
$('.note').hide;
to ->
$('.show-note').hide();
$('.note').show();
