editing invoice

    first off, great software package, i have been following it from the begining. I finally decided to start to fully use it but I have one major problem. Once I set up an invoice I can not edit it by adding or removing products from the itemised invoice.

    Is there an option to do this?

    http://www.forperfect.com/cinvoice/index.php that web based invoice system is pretty good. if you can get that system with the look and feel of simple invoices it would be invoice heaven :D

    re adding/removing products in edit screen
    - this is not possible at the moment :(
    -- hopefully in the not to distant future this will be fixed
    --- once the current list of stuff to code is done i really want to fixed up some old issues - ie. dynamically adding more items in creation and edit screens etc..

    - thanks for the link to cinvoice - never seen it before but looks if its very similar to Simple Invoices but with a few other features - paypal, upload, cron, email, delete, etc

    note: emailing invoices as PDF to customers will be included in the next release

    Some thoughts on this thread... The editing of invoices would be a Great Thing (TM). It would allow people to use Simple Invoices as a sort of ongoing time tracker as well. I would envision an invoice as being in draft form until it is 'closed' in some way, so that it could be built over time until some specific moment, like month-end, or the end of the project, and then sealed for sending to the client. As it stands, any ongoing consulting work requires an outside tracking system to keep a record of work done. And BTW, this is a very slick piece of software. I demoed some commercial applications that paled in comparison to SI. Keep up the great work!

    - as im sure your aware - basic editing is possible - works ok in total style invoices - not so well for itemised and consulting
    - re add more items in edit view

    - ive been thinking about a workflow system for Simple Invoices for a while but not yet ready to implement anything - hopefully sometime in the near future
