Simple Invoices - Forum

First let me say Simple Invoices is so perfect for what we need! Thank you!

This may be addressed somewhere but I could not find it.

For our products we have several versions. For example: Coat, Red and Coat, Blue.
Instead of adding two products - one for Coat, Red and one for Coat, Blue - would there be another way to handle this? (for example: setting up the colors in one table to choose from and setting up Coat as the product). How would I or is it possible to set that up? Does this require a lot of extra programming/skills? I have very basic php knowledge.
