Very interesting indeed. I've tried various crm's over the past month and this looks like something that could suite me. I just installed the latest stable release when I came to think that I would need a Norwegian translation. I did browse the forum and svn, it looks like there is something useful in svn but I have no clue on how to activate it, but maybe you guys do?
I'd also like to know if the translator is actively working on this project as I'm willing to lend a hand.
in the Simple Invoices development codes theres a new Norwegian translation by Thomas A Thorvaldsen
/* * Script: norwegian_NB_RC2.inc.php * Norwegian translation file * * Authors: * Thomas A Thorvaldsen * * Last edited: * 2007-08-07 * * License: * GPL v2 or above */
this will be released in the next major Simple invoices release (about 1-2 weeks away)
note: there will be a release today, but its just a security patch for the 2007-05 release and wont include the Norwegian translation
if you want to use this translation now, just download the file from svn, place it in your lang dir and rename it norwegian.inc.php and set the language to norwegian in config/config.php
I also see that there are language specific stuff in the database, are these moved in svn? Or will I still need to translate stuff in the database to my language? Also, maybe norwegian should be moved to the language overview, so that people can see that it's supported...
re svn - probably best to wait to the next major release as theres still a few db patches and UI stuff ive got to finalise first
re language stuff in db - most of the language specific stuff in the db is like invoices preferences and similar, which can be changed by the user through Simple Invoices - though might be a good idea to have language specific versions of the sql files - if you find a language thing in the db that cant be changed file the UI or lang file please post and i'll fix it up
re language overview - before the next release i'll update it
