    Hi,

At this moment we need to add products to bill prducts with prices on seperate lines.

When you have too much different products you want to type this your own, so you need to use the "Total Price" invoice where you can' t specify easy each line what everything costs.

So I think it would be nice to have a consulting invoice where we can type on each line the description and type the price manually behind it.

In this way you don' t have to add products first that you will use just one and you get everything very nice lined up as wit the other invoices.

This would be perfect I guess.

    Matt

Use a consulting type invoice and create just 1 product with name Description having price $0.
Create a flag variable in the config.php file to suppress ZERO price from being displayed (and PDFed).
Suitably (supression of ZERO display) edit the new consulting (and/or other invoice types) invoice's tpl template in templates/default/invoices/
And you would have achieved what you want.

    Hi,

But how can I set a price each product that I want to display there than ?

I would like to have the following fields where I can type in:

    "Number of Items" "Description" "Price"

This is the most flexible way of invoicing if you ask me :)

Btw, if someone knows a quick hack for this, it would be great.

I will try to dig into it.

I would love to have this feature added. I have been testing Simpleinvoice and really think it really fits my needs well. The only thing keeping me from starting to use it in 2008, is the lack of an easy way to way to mix an item like a product rate (which I need just like you have it) and an itemized list of travel expenses from a particular project (as some clients require). For example:
    1 Assignment rate ....... 1000.00
    Airfare British Airways.... 324.00
    Rental car ....................... 67.00
    Fuel ................................ 78.37
    Meal ................................ 34.67

    Total .............................1504.04

Thanks in advance if you can add something like this. I,ll switch to using it in a second.

Yes I also miss this feature. The prices of my products differ widely so it would be extremely time consuming to register each product beforehand. The lack of this feature prevents me from using SimpleInvoices - which is a pity as Simple Invoices seems to be one of the best online invoicing applications

    hey guys

one of the guys on the forum is working on some fancy jquery stuff that will allow you to enter whatever price you want per product

once you select a product it will enter the default price for that product in the a price box but will allow you to overwrite it with whatever figure you want

    cheers
