Support: Error sending e-mail

    Hello all;

    When I try to send an invoice by mail this error appear:
    +++++++++
    Message could not be sent.
    Mailer Error: Language string failed to load: connect_host
    +++++++++
    I've installed Simple Invoices (Version: 20080309 stable in Win XP Pro SP2) in a Localhost server. I've installed severals blogs on local and I don't have problems.
    # Apache Web Server Version 2.2.3
    # PHP Script Language Version 5.1.6
    # MySQL Database Version 5.0.24a

    but have you tried sending emails from your blog tools ?

    i'm pretty sure you need to be running a local smtp server OR use your ISP's smtp server.

    how are you doing it?

    Dedalos, try installing mercury mail for windows - its a free smtp server that runs on win xp - also comes with xampp

    note: you have to do some minor configs to mercury to get it to send from localhost to the outside world

    Thank you guys.

    you are right!, I don't know why, but now my local server (Appserv installation) isn't sending e-mails. I tried with a Wordpress blog (remember password to my mail) and the same error.
    I'm pretty sure that before this was working. Maybe the Appserv installs an SMTP server by default but now is corrupted or disabled. I'ld prefer to fix this problem more than install another SMTP server...

    I'll research a little in google.
