News: 30,000 downloads and still kicking ass

Hi Guys,

Just to let everyone know - we've past the 30,000 downloads mark on sourceforge!

For a simple php app that only does invoicing and requires the user to have apache, php and mysql installed on their PC/Server (which is not to common on a normal desktop) i think is quite an effort.
- though of course 30,000 downloads does not equate to 30,000 users

anyway 40,000 here we come

weve just moved the downloads to google which only have a very basic stat count ( http://code.google.com/p/simpleinvoices/downloads/list ) and not sure if theres some way we can those figures to do stuff with

my current attempt to highlight the community / userbase is the Community News section on the front of the new website http://simpleinvoices.org/#community_news

might look at putting some small stats onthe front page - say in community news - forum (have number of users and number opf posts) etc..
