I have started a new project based on Simple Invoices. I call it Vet's Simple Invoices and aim it at veterinary practices. I have set up the project at SourceForge.
Until now there has been added the ability to add animals to each customer. Each animal has got a health journal.
Further development includes a booking system, to-do list and other small add ons. In the far future an almost fully automated accounting system will be included.

re accounting system - i to intend to create an account system that will hook into Simple Invoices - it wont be part of Simple Invoices - it will be a separate project, Simple Accounts or something
re Vet's Simple Invoices - i've recently added an extensions system into Simple Invoices so this type of work can easily be done in Simple Invoices -- refer: --- http://www.simpleinvoices.org/wiki/extensions --- http://www.simpleinvoices.org/wiki/extensions_faq - it basically allows you to add new modules and overwrite existing ones - aswell as do whatever you want - main aim is to allow people like you to use Simple Invoices as the base of your work and easily distribute this work to others
